Sophie has trained and competed in the sport of Olympic weightlifting for over 5 years, and is passionate about sharing her love for strength and fitness.

Prior to her weightlifting days, Sophie was a dancer- specialising in breakdance (she can still pull out the occasional headspin when required) and will still find any excuse to be upside down.

Sophie currently works as a personal trainer and weightlifting coach with a range of clients, from those totally new to exercise, to competitive weightlifters taking to the platform. She also runs a female empowerment company, using sport and fitness to inspire women to meet their full potential!

As a personal programmer and online coach you have to focus on the client, on their goals and communicate with them effectively throughout the process.


ASSESSMENT

Your very first appointment will be all about getting to know you. You will tell us about your day to day life, your weekly schedule, your eating habits and, most importantly, your goals. Following this there will be a physical assessment, with the purpose of assessing your flexibility, strength and endurance. From this, we will have a very good understanding of how best to develop YOUR training program.

PROGRAMMING

Following the Assessment, Sophie will design YOUR training. Your training program is designed based on your assessment results, your stated goals, your schedule of availability, etc. It is YOUR training program. Sophie will take your results, feedback and videos (if applicable) into account when designing your continued programming.

NUTRITION & LIFESTYLE

Regardless of your goals, it is imperative you are giving adequate attention to your food choices. What should I eat? How much protein? How much fat? How much Carbohydrate? We will work with you to help you develop food habits that are both healthful and sustainable. This will be part of an ongoing conversation with your Sophie.
